Summer Buzz is about a bumble bee that, perhaps a bit intoxicated on nectar and pollen, bumbles around a flower garden. Our insect-hero begins a demented waltz with Straussian harmonies and falls into a garden paradise with notes of Sondheim. Pretty tough to read because of chromatic notes and lots of ties/hemiolas, but students should have no problem mastering it!
